Team Henry Professional Branding Guidelines

Brand yourself for the career you want, not the job you have.

In financial services, if people like you they will listen to you, but if they trust you, they’ll do business with you.  To build that trust, you need a great professional image and to explain why you’re joining a financial services business.

We use LinkedIn as a guide for building great brands:

1.  Your Headshot makes you real in the virtual business world so follow these guidelines to make yours a valuable asset.

2.  Your Banner Image should be simple and professional.

3.  Your Headline is the most visible part of your LinkedIn profile and explains exactly what you bring to the table.  While in training you should say something like, “Financial Services with Transamerica” or “Family Banking | Life Insurance | Annuities.”

4.  Your About section is a short summary of who you are and what you’re all about.  Whether you’re starting full time or explaining the coexistence of this new part time venture with your current job, this is your chance to explain your decision to join a financial services business.

5.  Your Experience should include a new job title “Financial Associate in Training” with the company “Transamerica.”

6.  Connect to your Trainers (me and Evan) and join these groups: Henry & CompanyWorld Financial GroupTransamerica.

Once you’re finished with these updates, we will take a look together and start putting together a networking plan.
